lexicographic	Lexicographically ordered ([i1,i2],[j1,j2] -> [i1,i2,j1,j2]).
interleaved	Indices are interleaved according to a user-supplied pattern ([i1,i2],[j1,j2] -> [i1,j1,i2,j2]).
