The 2.11.0 release is now available. It brings a number of improvements in the core and staging modules, for example several new finite element bases in dune-functions. It also includes the three modules dune-foamgrid, dune-gmsh4 and dune-vtk for surface and network grids, and improved Gmsh4 and VTK file handling, respectively. As a change to the overall structure, several features from the dune-typetree module have been moved into dune-common. As a consequence, dune-functions’s dependence on dune-typetree has been downgraded from required to optional, and will be removed completely in the 2.12 release. Codes that used dune-typetree only through dune-functions can safely drop it.
